Perché tutto non andasse perduto, dopo anni, abbiamo deciso di ri-pubblicare il primo lavoro discografico autoprodotto della prima formazione del Collettivo Ginsberg (dal 2008 al 2010). E' stata la prima impronta del nostro cammino. Doveroso farlo.

Come è stato scritto anche dal gruppo, i nomi di Tom Waits e Nick Cave sono dei veri punti di riferimento ai quali la band rimane ben attaccata, per affetto, per devozione o "solo" per amore. Sono due nomi pesanti, ai quali la band offre un tributo sonoro e malinconico che non ha il sapore del plagio ma quello dolce e condivisibile della citazione.
Tutto l'album risuona come musica maledetta, senza regole, accompagnata quasi distrattamente da una band disinvolta che regala spazio alla voce mista di ruggine e miele di Cristian Fanti.
Il Collettivo Ginsberg si diverte a giocare, affrontando con allegria e spensieratezza un'arte che troppe volte viene presa sul serio da chi la musica non la sa fare.
L'atmosfera live di questa registrazione la si può ritrovare nella coda di "The ballad of greengrey village lovers", dove sembra di vedere la band insieme ad amici cantare e bere attorno al microfono disinteressandosi completamente del fatto che quello che stanno strimpellando verrà ascoltato da terzi.
Insomma, ascoltando questo album non ci sbrilluccicheranno gli occhi per aver sentito suoni moderni o trovate innovative, ma ci ritroveremo improvvisamente assaliti da atmosfere passate, piacevoli e rassicuranti.
"I refuse to give up my obsession" è una perla malinconica utile ad abbracciare l'inverno che sta arrivando.

As it was also written by the group, the names of Tom Waits and Nick Cave are real reference points to which the band remains well attached, for love, for devotion or" only "for love. They are two heavy names, to which the band offers a sonic and melancholic tribute that does not have the taste of plagiarism but the sweet and shareable one of the quote.
The whole album resounds like cursed music, without rules, accompanied almost absent-mindedly by a nonchalant band that gives space to Cristian Fanti's mixed rust and honey voice.
The Collective Ginsberg enjoys playing, facing cheerfully and light-heartedly an art that too many times is taken seriously by those who don't know how to do music.
The live atmosphere of this recording can be found in the queue of "The ballad of greengrey village lovers", where it seems to see the band together with friends singing and drinking around the microphone completely disinterested in the fact that what they are strumming will be heard by third.
In short, listening to this album will not sbrilluccicher eyes for hearing modern sounds or found innovative, but we will suddenly find ourselves assaulted by past atmospheres, pleasant and reassuring.
"I refuse to give up my obsession" is a melancholy pearl useful to embrace the coming winter.
